A:
A) Table 1 is different because all y values are 3. Table 3 is only positive values. Table 4 has all negative y values. Table two has all positive y values which is similar to table 1 and table 3.

B) You can use the tables to find out if the tables are linear or not by subtracting the change in Y and also subtract the change in X. Remember the problem with Jamal? He spent $2 every day so that’s a linear relationship from one day to the next. Just do the same thing here.

C) The dame thing you did with Jamal and putting those dots down, you can do here. Graph of table 1 is just a straight horizontal line. Graph of table 2 is a parabola(google this, it should be like the first image or 2). Graph of table 3 is the same thing but upside down. Graph of 4 is a downward line. Put down (0,-3) then (8,-15). Draw a line between these two points.

D) table 1: y = 3
No matter what value x, y will always be three
Table 2 is not linear
Table 3 is not linear
Table 4: (-3/2)x - 3 = y
Put in x = 0. You get -3. Put in x = 2, you get -6. Put in x = 4, you get -9. Put in x = 6 , you get -12. Put in x = 8, you get -15.
